    <body>Hyampom is a beautiful river valley on the south fork of the Trinity River, about 30 nm due east of Eureka, California.

The micro-climate is excellent, close enough to the coast to temper the heat of mid summer, yet clearly out of the coastal marine layer typical along the coast.

There are approximately 150 residents in the Hyampom valley, including a country store about one mile from the condominiums. Most of the valley is surrounded by national forest or land owned by timber companies.

A 2.5 hour drive from Redding, California, it is common to see wildlife in great variety. Some of the best fly fishing in the state is a short walk across the airport from the condominiums.

The Old Florida charm, somewhat elusive in this day and age, is alive and well in this small enclave tucked away in the midst of oaks and orange groves in southwest Florida.

Along the banks of the river you might find fossils of every description from prehistoric shark teeth, shells and mastodon bones to other bits and pieces of the ice age.  This area held the most southerly watering hole used by ancient elephants, panthers and a host of other critters. Nearby, Caloosa Indian mounds have been found, testimony to the centuries of occupation by the Caloosa and Seminole Indians.
